  1. Pier

If Sopot, only Pier. It is an attraction started by Jerzy Haffner in 1827. Today, with a length of over 500 m, the pier is the main point of visiting by tourists and the residents of Sopot. In summer, entrance to the pier is paid (current fees on http://molo.sopot.pl/). In winter season, the Pier is available for everyone free of charge. In addition, an ice rink is opened nearby every year, for those thirsty for winter madness not so far from the water.

  1. Hippodrome

The Hippodrome, which has more than 100 years of tradition, is an attraction with growing interest and publicity. Sopot horse racing track every year organizes sports and recreation events, which will meet with interest of lovers of high-flying gambling and the horses themselves. Apart from prestigious competitions and fairs, Hippodrome is also an institution providing services for those in need of hippotherapy and horse riding lessons.

  1. Forest Opera House

Built in 1909 and modernized over the years, it is today the main centre of mass cultural events alongside the Ergo Arena. The Forest Opera is not only a modern amphitheatre with a capacity of 4 500 spectators or a stage for 110 musicians, but also four hectares of surrounding areas surrounded by relaxing greenery of the Tri-City Landscape Park in the forest complex of the Oliwa Forests.

The Sopot Museum was founded in 2001 and is now located near the beach, in a cottage with a bit of eclectic charm. The museum offers permanent, temporary and outdoor exhibitions full of graphics, paintings, exhibits and even documentation proving the active life of Sopot in the past.

  1. Grodzisko in Sopot – Archaeological Museum

The castle is an archaeological open-air museum offering experience straight from the early medieval history. In the summer season, the building offers festivals, craft fairs and numerous animations. In addition, it is a place which is visited by students of local schools as part of their extra-curricular activities in order to develop their imagination and broaden their historical knowledge.

When the weather by the sea is not favorable, and the need for water madness is greater than we are ready to admit, Aqua Park in Sopot is a great solution. The facility offers swimming pools, slides, saunas, SPA with massages and beauty treatments, has catering facilities and bowling alleys for adults and children.

  1. Monte Cassino

The most famous promenade in Pomerania can also be called the heart of Sopot. Here you can hear the best musical hits, strikes of cutlery and glasses, as well as coin buzzing. Monte Cassino is all that a tourist can expect. There are numerous restaurants, shops, trade shops, pubs and clubs open at night. Monte Cassino doesn’t know how to sleep. In the summer season at two in the morning is crowded more than in the afternoon, and the attractions in the form of the Crooked House or Jaś Rybak Fountain confirm the belief that Sopot has a lot to offer.

  1. Fishing harbour 

The fishing harbour is located at the mouth of the Karlikowski Stream and has been operating continuously since the 13th century, supplying fresh fish to local residents. At present, six crews, who have been working in the same schedule for years, take care of the resources at the marina. At the fishing harbour you can buy freshly caught fish or try it seasoned in the nearby Bar Przystań.

  1. Ergo Arena

Located on the border of Sopot and Gdansk sports hall is an enormous facility that can accommodate up to 15 000 spectators. Every year there are organized various sports competitions, including world-class competitions, as well as concerts attended by locals and people from all over the country or even abroad. 

  1. Sopot Beach

If it’s by the sea, it’s only to Sopot. The beach stretching for over 4 kilometers is the main tourist stop just after the pier. Right next to it you can enter the part of the beach offering a swimming pool with fresh water, which can be used by the youngest. Throughout the beach are stretched attractions for children, water sports equipment rentals for adrenaline craving and sun loungers, for those less active.
